My Goal as Commissioner

My goal as Lincoln County Commissioner is to preserve our wonderful Wyoming heritage for future generations. I believe my background in agriculture, years of experience working in industry, and my proven commitment and ability to work with various committees and commissions, as well as local, state, and federal agencies will enable me to successfully represent the citizens of Lincoln County in finding answers to the complex issues that face our communities.

Change just for the sake of change is not good. Keep what works and improve on the rest. Times are difficult and adjustments may need to be made in some areas. Economic growth and development must be well planned. As Commissioner, I will be able to work well with the various entities for the betterment of Lincoln County now and in the future.

Commissioner Responsibilities

Being a Commissioner is demanding and requires many hours dealing with numerous county issues, overseeing various departments and boards, attending endless meetings, and developing county-wide budgets. It is essential that a Commissioner be able to work effectively on every level of government to maintain the socioeconomic future of Lincoln County. We must preserve multiple use of public lands and maintain our tax base to provide necessary services and future economic growth and development. It is important to keep the County Land Use Regulations and the Comprehensive Plan current.

 

My Promises

There are so many important issues facing us today and they all need to be prioritized and addressed to the best of our ability. However, I will not make unrealistic campaign promises that would be impossible to keep. Instead, I will promise you this: As Lincoln County Commissioner, I will fairly address each and every issue to the best of my ability to obtain workable solutions according to the wishes of the citizens, keeping in mind that all decisions must fall within the realm of the law, and the budget restraints must be maintained in the difficult economy.

Whatever the issue, as Commissioner I will be available to all the citizens of Lincoln County to hear your concerns, comments, and opinions. If we work together, we can meet the challenges and maintain the freedoms and western way of life that is so important to all of us.
