LPN Program at the Outreach
The Kemmerer Outreach program through Western Wyoming Community College has been notified that the Wyoming State Board of Nursing has granted provisional approval for its newly developed Practical Nursing (PN) Program. According to Ardyce Hill, Coordinator of Practical Nursing Program, the first class for PN students will begin in August 2006 in Kemmerer. Eight qualifying students will be admitted to the program.

WWCC’s PN Program is a three-semester part-time program that grants a certificate upon successful completion. The 47-credit PN Program includes 22 pre-requisite credits. Students are required to complete a math class prior to admission to the PN Program, in addition to the pre-requisites that are also required for the AD Program.

CNA competencies (Course or demonstration)
NOTE: Human Anatomy & Physiology II and CAN competencies can be completed the semester before beginning nursing classes. A & P II not included in the GPA in this circumstance.

All above courses must be completed with a “C” or better .
All general education courses may be taken prior to admission into the nursing program.
General education courses taken while in nursing program must be taken evenings, TV, Internet or other asynchronous format.
Students must be admitted to the program prior to the first year to enroll in nursing courses.
